Amcro
Technology Ltd is located at an attractive rural location
in the picturesque village of Thruxton, near Andover,
Hampshire, in central southern England. We are well
placed for travel within the UK, being close to the A303
road, which links the West of England with London in the
East, via the M3 motorway. The A34, which runs North/South
is also close by, and enables easy access from the south
coast via the M3, or the North of England via the M40 and
M6 or M1. A main railway line links Andover with Waterloo
Station in London, with a travel time of around 70
minutes.
Andover
is a fast growing town with a population of around 50,000.
It used to be primarily an agricultural town, until, in
the 1960s, it was chosen as a development area, as part
of a programme to reduce congestion in London. Now it is
known mostly for light industry and financial services.
Andover is located centrally within 15 miles of
Winchester, Salisbury, Newbury and Basingstoke, in an
attractive part of Hampshire known as the Test Valley.
The cities of Winchester and Salisbury are well known to
tourists for their historic cathedrals; parts of
Winchester cathedral being more than 900 years old. Also
nearby is the ancient Stonehenge monument. Pictured is
Andover's main landmark, St Mary's Church. Thruxton is
situated about 6 miles west of Andover just off the A303,
and is well known for its BARC motor racing circuit, which is located at the former Thruxton
airfield. Amcro Technology is located within Thruxton
Village.
